Important Notices for Medicaid Applicants and Caregivers

Welcome to our Important Notices page. Below, you'll find key information related to three important aspects of Medicaid coverage—Income Limits, the Redetermination Process, and Medicaid Estate Recovery. Please read carefully, as some actions may be required.

1. Medicaid Income Limits for 2025

Medicaid income limits are updated annually. Here's what you need to know for 2025:

  • Income Limit: $2,901

💡 ACTION REQUIRED

  • If the Medicaid Applicant resides at home, they may retain up to $2,901 to use for their care and living expenses.

  • If the Medicaid Applicant is in a Living Community, schedule a meeting with the Business Office Manager to confirm the accuracy of the patient payment amount now that the income limit was increased from 2024.

Staying informed about your income eligibility is critical to maintaining Medicaid coverage, so please ensure you're aligned with these updated limits.

2. Redetermination Process

The Redetermination Process is an annual review conducted by the state to determine if a Medicaid Applicant remains eligible for Medicaid coverage.

What you need to know:

  • Annual Notice: The Medicaid Applicant or their caregiver will receive Redetermination paperwork each year. This will be mailed to the address currently on file.

  • What to Look For: The first page of the Redetermination paperwork will look like [this].

  • Important Reminder: Refer to the documents from your closing meeting to know when to expect this paperwork.

💡 ACTION REQUIRED
