Kim Searles, BA, CSA
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Throughout my life, I have enjoyed different careers. I worked for the American Automobile Association, as a travel agent where I planned people’s dream trips. In 2002, I received my bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with a business option from California State University, East Bay, and became a travel technology trainer.
My mother and I were extremely close all throughout my life, we lived together while we were both working full-time and both attending college. My mother wanted to be a positive example to our family and in doing so, was the first woman in our family who graduated with a college education. I was the second.
In 2010, we moved to Colorado together to start a new chapter in life. This was where I entered my networking career with home healthcare. In 2014, I was hired at Interim HealthCare, for business development, and started to build an extensive network of personal and professional connections.
In 2018, I moved to Beneficent as the Director of Education. I currently educate business professionals whose clients want to know how to pay for Long-term Care. It brings me immense gratification to bring clarity on Long-term Care options.
I am passionate about my work because in 2012 my mother was diagnosed with uterine cancer, and she passed away in 2013. I wish at the time; I would have known about Beneficent. Instead, I did what most families do, and stepped into the role of caregiver while working full-time.
My goal is to help reach, teach, and guide others to Beneficent, so they will not have to endure the same stresses I did with my mother. Hopefully, they will not have to focus on taking care of their family members’ physical needs such as their activities of daily living. If they can get that care paid for, they can spend quality time with their loved one during their last precious moments together.
Outside of the office, I like to travel, hike, and spend time in nature, or you can find me out on the dance floor.
